Jayne captured the effects and sufferings of the illness her Father in law was subjected to Alzheimer's. in oil on canvas (BBC.2016)She purposely painted this in a way that concealed the identity of his face. (BBC.2016) She was trying to convey the feeling of emptiness and the loss her Father in law felt as his mind was decaying. (BBC.2016)Her father in law covering his face suggests that he might be embarrassed by his ineptitude that is caused by his illness.
