dEMENTIA

To raise awareness in Mental illnesses I have focused on artists who suffered from Dementia, the loss of their loved ones to dementia and how that translated it into their works. Since the symptoms of dementia include memory loss or dementia and personality changes that affect a  part of the brain, which is responsible for depriving visualizing capabilities, especially for a painter. With Alzheimer's seeping the art becomes visibly more abstract, blurrier and vague, due to the loss of the aforementioned capabilities. Hence artists ' style of work transitions with the changing of their fractals over time. (Sandoiu.2016)

I have also included artists who have depicted dementia in their works in remembrance of those who passed on due to the effects of it by capturing their emotions.
